As we know, February is a month of love. This year’s Dessert Night was revived, as per Northrise University tradition. Because the event was not held last year, one would literally feel the up roaring excitement in the air from the day preparations began to the day when the event happened. This is our tradition to celebrate love as a community and the theme for this year was “LOVE AND DESSERT, a Night to Remember”.
The décor, composed of the colors red, black, and white, were used to symbolize love. It was a scene that was beautifully set and possessed an atmosphere having a soft glow setting, in a room cast with miniature lanterns that were lit and placed at every table. A Red Carpet was rolled out for students who made their way into the Auditorium, where they were entertained by various acts such as poetry, live music, and dance. And what is a Dessert night without Dessert? Marble cakes, muffins, waffles as well as cookies were some of the enticing treats served to the esteemed audience.
In elated sprites, Dessert night was concluded with balloons tossed in the air, while voices sang in unison to all-time favorite tunes. It was a sight to see indeed. Truly it was a night to remember!
