Service Learning

Service Learning is an integral part of student life at Northrise University. We are uniquely placed to require students to engage in acts of service because it is a key component in the development of responsible and caring citizens of our country and beyond.

Service Learning is a process of involving students in community service activities. It is aimed at enhancing and enriching a student’s learning experience and gives opportunities for students to integrate their faith into practice by engaging in Christian service.

We believe by combining academic pursuit with practical real-life experience of helping others, Service Learning provides students with opportunities to grow in social responsibility while enhancing their personal growth and enriching the lives of people within the community they are serving. Students must serve a total of 20 hours each semester as a graduation requirement.
