Future Growth

The purpose of our multi-phase Advancing the Vision capital campaign is to support a substantial expansion of facilities on our 640-acre main university campus in Ndola, Zambia. Our vision to empower the people of Zambia, one student at a time, is based on our ability to provide an outstanding education for the future leaders of Zambia through academic excellence, spiritual formation, and economic empowerment. Providing a high-quality and academically-conducive environment for students is fundamental to achieving our vision.

Advancing the Vision

Funding for Phase Three is underway to continue to Advance the Vision of Northrise University. A new classroom building specifically designed for our Engineering programs is included in Phase Three. Our graduates are in high demand, and we can extend the Northrise transformation into new sectors of Zambia through the School of Engineering currently in development.

As Northrise University continues to grow, demand for student housing increases. With limited off-campus housing nearby, many students make a long commute by bus, bike, or foot. These students have little opportunity to participate in campus life. This second of four planned dormitories will be transformational, especially in the near term as the School of Engineering is expected to drive enrollment growth.

Campus Expansion Overview

  • Over the next five years, annual enrollment is projected to grow from 1,000 to over 2,000 students.
  • The Campus Center, completed in June 2016, construction of the student activity center, convocation hall, and School of Theology are part of the campus growing alongside our student body.
  • Additional dormitories will be constructed to increase student housing to 350+ students.
  • Four new faculty housing duplexes are also included.
  • Traditional student capacity will be supported by additional infrastructure improvements.

Phase Two

Phase Two began in the fall of 2018 and included the construction of a 120-student dormitory, a state-of-the-art classroom building for the School of Nursing, and a 6-bedroom lodge, the Alumni House, as well as further supporting infrastructure. Phase Two construction and infrastructure development will conclude in 2021 as fundraising is underway for Phase Three to continue on this critical expansion timeline to keep up with increasing student enrollment and academic program development.
