Northrise University is located in the city of Ndola on the Copperbelt province of Zambia.

Zambia is an African country with a population of 18 million. It is a landlocked country surrounded by 8 neigbours in Africa’s subsahara region.

Northrise as a Christ-centered University does not discriminate against religion. Students from all faiths are welcome. However, students of other faiths are equally required to participate in our spiritual formation activities across campus.

Northrise University was established in 2003 and began operations in January 2004 with 50 students and two associate degree programs.

Northrise University was founded by Dr. Moffat and Mrs. Doreen Zimba, a Zambian Christian couple that felt led to equip the people of Zambia through Christian higher education. Read about our founders on the History page.

Northrise University Initiative is non-profit 501-c-3 organization established and operating in the USA as a development arm of Northrise University. Its main purpose is to support the mission and vision of Northrise University. Read more about NUI.

Northrise University offers Financial Aid to Zambians who are enrolled to study Onsite as DAY students or Online as Theology students. See all Financial Aid related information here. Read more.

Financial Aid Application is open to all eligible applicants during the admission process. If you have an Application ID commonly referred to as APF number, you can apply for FA here. Financial Aid Page

Northrise University Returning Students (enrolled students who have completed at least one Semester) apply for FA in October each year. This window is open to all students including those who are on break, anticipate resuming classes in the upcoming year, and wish to be on FA when they return. Financial Aid Page

Yes, NU offers Campus Accommodation to both male and female students. Currently, our Dorm facilities have a capacity of 200 students with the ratio of 40% male and 60% female bed spaces.

To apply for accommodation, please contact us. To be eligible for accommodation you must be taking a full course load. A Full Course Load is 5 Courses in a Semester.

Northrise University is currently not offering any Doctorate Programs. Please visit us again the future to check on such a program.

Northrise University offers an Executive Master of Business Administration which is 18 months in duration. See full program details here. Northrise Business School.

Northrise University currently offers a Bachelor of Science in Nursing program tailored for hands on practical nursing. Read more.

Northrise University does not offer any Engineering Programs at present. Currently, the University is developing the School of Engineering to offer civil and mechanical engineering programs in the near future.
