My name is Brooke and I am returning to Ndola, Zambia for the second time and I am so excited! Two years ago I came with my family, almost reluctantly, and afraid of the change and stepping out of my comfort zone. But upon arriving I felt the strong presence of God all around me, in the school and in the new people I was meeting who soon became my friends. God stretched me and completely pulled me out of my comfort zone while I was there and I have never felt the presence of God so strongly.
I am thrilled to be going back to Ndola and can’t wait to see how God will work through the people who are coming on this trip. This year I am privileged to be a part of an amazing team of 23 young adults and a team of 14 adults from Kindred Community Church who have come together with a desire to serve the Lord through missions. The young adults have been meeting for the past few months to prepare physically, mentally, and most of all spiritually for this trip.
We are three days away and we have prepared as much as we can; all we can do is depend on God to equip us with what we need to accomplish His will. Tonight we spent our last meeting together coming before the Lord in praise and adoration for what He has done and what He will do on this trip and we are so excited to see Him work! Brook Scherer
