In early July, nearly 200 volunteers gathered together to serve over 1,000 people in the city of Ndola throughout Impact Ndola 2017.  Friends from the United States gathered with friends from Northrise University for one week to bring honor and glory to God through service.  On the last day of Impact, all gathered together in the newly opened Northrise University amphitheater to share and celebrate what God had done throughout the week as well as to worship and pray together.

On a lovely and cool Friday evening, each service team selected one representative to share highlights and what they had learned throughout the week of service.  Six teams shared how God had moved and impacted them.  The Northrise Student Media Team had the unique opportunity to visit all service locations throughout the week.  The students worked diligently to share pictures and stories daily, capturing the beautiful experience that is Impact.  The three VBS Teams lovingly served children in the community through Bible stories, music, dancing, crafts, and games.  The Agriculture Team traveled around Ndola, collecting information on successful and unsuccessful farms and programs in order to better prepare for future school programs at Northrise University.  The Medical Team cared for hundreds of members of the community at the VBS schools and NUCare, teaching about health, performing dental procedures, and conducting medicals check-ups.  The Women’s and Men’s Conferences taught and exhorted hundreds of adults in the community through preaching, singing, and discussion groups.  The Northrise Choir lead the Impact Ndola 2017 team in worship while all reflected on the goodness of God to allow a group of people from different backgrounds and experiences to come together as servants and leave as friends.
