This year’s high achiever awards held on November 8th 2017, gave the student body something to look forward to. Gift Siamulena, a third year student had the highest GPA and was awarded with not only a High Achiever Certificate of 2017 but a Meal Voucher for two at the Protea Hotel by Marriott, Ndola.

The High Achiever awards are awarded at the end of the academic year. Even though they are given to a select few students, they are a tribute to the amount of effort that both faculty and students have put in during the course of the academic year.

Mr Ngulube the Vice President Operations gave a few words of encouragement to students. He said, everybody that is enrolled at the university is intelligent and needs to work hard. He emphasized that there is always effort needed on the student’s part. Further more, eluded that all students should grow in production of knowledge that which is rooted in facts by making use of the various academic tools that have been put in place. He concluded by saying, “Every award given to other students should be an encouragement to all students to harder than they have this year.”
