A journey of a thousand miles that began with one step was met with excited hearts and cheering crowds beholding Northrise University’s 15th Graduation Ceremony on the 4th of June, 2022. This year’s graduation theme was “Dare to Soar.”

Graduating in the Class of 2022 were fifty-six (56) graduates, with one of the major highlights being the first-ever graduates from the School of Nursing.

The guest of honor, Mr. Paul Chisuka, President of the Ndola District Chamber of Commerce and Industry, commended Northrise University for exceeding expectations and making a huge contribution to national development through developing high-quality human capital. He stated, “This level of achievement puts forward a promise for each graduating individual to work with creativity, enterprise and innovation while exercising virtues of good cooperative and environmental values.”

Northrise has remarkably improved the standard of learning in Zambia and the quality of students it has produced in the various programs offered by the institution.

Northrise University has produced over 600 highly qualified graduates since its inception, upholding the institution’s mission and vision as they apply themselves in various career fields.

The university Vice-Chancellor Dr. Moffat Zimba shared the good news of the anticipated launch of the School of Engineering. He mentioned that the new programs will include civil and mechanical engineering and are scheduled to launch in January 2024. The announcement sparked excitement among those attending the graduation.

We had a chance to speak to several people after the graduation ceremony, and here is what they had to say:
Ms. Agness Ndeke, a Clinical Instructor in the School of Nursing, started working with Northrise University when the graduating class was in its first year. She stated, “It is a very emotional moment for me. Seeing my first class reach this milestone is an honorable achievement for me, the graduates, and the institution.”

Current students stated that this graduation encouraged them to study harder as they look forward to their graduation in the future.

Mrs. Agness Nshindano, during her congratulatory message to the Class of 2022, stated, “It is overwhelming to see the students graduate. I had an encounter with most of them during class as well as prayer sessions in believing the Lord to bring them through to this achievement. Truly no one ever lost at trusting in the Lord.”

Prinnie Kaoma Chikulu, Class of 2022 valedictorian, stated, “This is an exciting day for my fellow graduates and me. We are equipped to face whatever assignment given, upholding the values instilled through our program, where learning helps one to think more uniquely. I am Northrise, and I am soaring”

Being excellent at what is good is what each Northrise graduate should aim for as they step into and advance in their careers. We believe the Class of 2022 is professionally equipped to serve excellently in their various fields. We encourage them to continue to dare to soar!
