Ndola – Copperbelt, Zambia (Oct 5, 2020) – The Northrise University Board of Regents (BOR) or University Council is pleased to announce its recent approval of full-fledged Online Learning to commence in January 2021. This approval comes at a critical moment in the history of Northrise when the world is demanding higher education institutions to be more innovative in their approach to teaching, learning, and research amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. While the pandemic has brought about unprecedented setbacks on both small and large universities, strategic opportunities equally lie ahead. It’s been Northrise University’s desire to offer online learning for several years but 2020 has helped in accelerating the long-term strategic plan of introducing a full-fledged Online Learning stream. This is an exciting development that will enable the University to affirm digital learning; the growing future of education; as well as widen its reach for global impact.
Building on a strong foundation of high quality, affordable, private Christian higher education, Northrise University is set to offer 100% online programs in a Christ-centered environment with ultramodern technologies and a robust online curriculum. Dr. Moffat Zimba, co-founder, and Vice-Chancellor of Northrise University stated, “we have been thinking and planning of one day offering 100% online programs but God has moved us towards this reality sooner. As preparations towards full-fledged online learning are in full swing, we give God praise for this significant step forward to offering Christian educational opportunities beyond Zambian borders and in turn achieving our vision.”
