The University is committed to providing top-quality accommodation to students extremely conducive to the learning process. NU offers same-sex shared rooms with dining facilities from the main cafeteria. Students living on campus also have easy access to classrooms, library, NU clinic, and other campus facilities, all within walking distance. This environment fosters communal living and enables an improved social life and group studies for resident students.
Our campus accommodation is offered to On-site students who are enrolled in a minimum of 15 total credits in the semester and has a bed capacity of 191 students.
Dorm Amenities
The male dorm is a one-story building able to accommodate 78 students with typically four students sharing a spacious room with bunk beds. This Dorm has two separate wings and students have individual closets and study tables in their respective rooms. Each wing has a lounge with DSTv available, a kitchenette with a fridge, a microwave, and a kettle.
The female Dorm is a newly constructed two-story building that accommodates 123 students. Each bedroom is occupied by two students and fitted with two closets, built-in desks, and standard twin-size beds. Each floor has a lounge with DSTv available, a private study area, a kitchen fitted with two microwaves and a fridge as well as a computer lab area with wireless and Ethernet connection. The Female dorms also have coin-operated laundry machines.
Social and Other Dorm Activities
Students in our Resident Halls have recreational activities each Semester that foster community living. Activities include Dorn Braais (BBQ), Movie Nights, Picnic Lunches, Board Games, and Tournaments.
Dorm Bible Studies are also held once a week for in-depth study of Scripture.
