Abigail Lupiya (BIT ’26) From Dream to Reality: Building Faith, Community, and an IT Future

For Abigail Lupiya, graduating with a Bachelor of Information Technology in Web and Software Development from Northrise University wasn’t just an academic milestone—it was the fulfillment of a dream nearly two decades in the making.

A Long-Cherished Vision

Abigail’s connection to Northrise began back in 2009 while she was a student at Arising Life Ministries. It was there that she first met Dr. Moffat and Mrs. Doreen Zimba. Inspired by their leadership, vision, and devotion, Abigail set her sights on Northrise University as her dream institution.

Years later, that dream became a reality. Drawn by NU’s Christ-centered environment and vital financial aid opportunities, Abigail found a university home that nurtured both her professional ambitions and her personal journey.

Growth Beyond the Classroom

While her studies focused on mastering web and software development, Abigail’s time at Northrise offered valuable lessons outside the lecture halls. She credits her experience on campus with teaching her how to build meaningful relationships, communicate effectively, and connect with people from all walks of life.

Today’s Impact & Tomorrow’s Ambitions

Currently putting her technical skills to work, Abigail serves as a Data Entry Specialist at Future for Kids School, maintaining critical data systems to support education.

But her journey is just getting started. Looking to the future, Abigail has bold entrepreneurial ambitions:

• The Immediate Goal: Launch an IT café to provide accessible tech services to her community.

• The Vision: Expand her venture into a full-scale, independent IT company.
