Northrise University is thrilled to announce the appointment of Ethel Zulu Changufu to the Northrise University Board of Regents as Member – Legal.

Ethel’s journey with Northrise began as an ambitious law student and culminated in her graduation with a Bachelor of Laws in 2020. Since then, she has built a distinguished legal career, exemplifying the excellence, integrity, and servant leadership that Northrise seeks to instill in every student. Returning to serve her alma mater in this strategic governance role marks an exciting new chapter for both Ethel and the University community.

Her appointment reflects the power of a Northrise education, preparing leaders who not only excel in their fields but return to build into the vision that shaped them.

A Historic Milestone for Alumni Leadership
Ethel’s appointment marks a significant milestone in Northrise history: she becomes only the second alumnus to sit on the Board of Regents. She follows in the footsteps of Dr. Wesley Chishimba (Diploma in Human Resource Management, Class of 2018), continuing a growing legacy of alumni leadership at the highest levels of university stewardship.

A Northrise Family Legacy
The Changufu connection to Northrise runs deep. Ethel is happily married to fellow Northrise alumnus Fred Changufu, who earned his Bachelor of Finance and Accounting in 2019. Together, they embody the vibrant network of alumni who continue to impact their professions and communities.
