Dear Friends of Northrise,
The Lord is doing amazing things at Northrise University, alongside the unparalleled staff. I returned from an April visit to Ndola to see the activity of student life bustling through the hallways and cafeteria, students doing their homework outside and in the study halls… all diligently preparing for final exams!
The graduates were being fitted for their caps and gowns and all discussing their bright futures ahead. These Northrise students are the future of Zambia!
I had the opportunity to have lunch and visit with the students. Some were visiting and seeking scholarships, and those enrolled were studying together and helping each other manage the workload and stress of finals. It was beautiful and the Holy Spirit was palpable.
I attended Chapel one morning and I was brought to tears of joy and holy goose bumps, as the faculty and staff led the worship and did a skit for the students. Laughter and music filled the hall. I could feel their deep gratitude for the fellowship and blessings of receiving a World Class education at NU. They were all having so much fun!
I also visited Mapalo, Makenzie and Arising Life schools and we showed the Jesus Film in their native language, Bemba. It was profound to see these beautiful souls soak up the story of Jesus and share afterwards of the miracles they witnessed and the gift of Jesus dying on the cross for us to “repair our sins”.
As Northrise grows, so do their needs for love and support from their Northrise friends in the USA.
