It is an honor to be a new member of the Northrise University Initiative team!  I love learning and am passionate about traveling and serving alongside others.

I attended Arizona State University (ASU) and earned my undergraduate degree in Family and Human Development.  Attending ASU changed my perspective and my life.  Having attended a relatively small high school, the diversity at ASU instilled in me a passion for learning about others while celebrating our unique qualities as children of God, created in His image.  After graduating, I served as an Administrative Assistant at North Phoenix Baptist Church for approximately 5 years, while earning a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from Grand Canyon University.

Upon graduating from Grand Canyon University, I spent four years as an elementary school teacher, teaching third through sixth grade children.  Being a teacher was a unique challenge that blessed me in countless ways.  I am forever changed because of my years inside the classroom.  Approximately three years ago, God put Africa on my heart.  I did not understand what it meant or what the next season of life would look like, but put my trust in Him.  He graciously opened up this door at Northrise University, and I am incredibly grateful for this opportunity.

As a native of Arizona, I love our beautiful desert scenery and taking day trips to explore our state with my husband, Adam.  When we are not out exploring, Adam and I love enjoying delicious food with our friends and families.
