Let Love Lead: A Night of Worship at Northrise University

While Valentine’s Day is traditionally known for celebrating romantic love, the Northrise University community chose to dedicate this special day to worship and honor God’s eternal love. Hosted by the Student Council, Praise Night became a powerful reminder that true love is found in Christ alone.

The event commenced with a heartfelt opening prayer, setting the stage for an evening of deep worship and praise. The NU choir then led the congregation in an uplifting session of praise and worship, filling the atmosphere with songs that centered on the boundless love of God for humanity.

A major highlight of the evening was the inspirational preaching delivered by the guest speaker, Mr. Zondi. His message resonated deeply with the audience, providing a fresh perspective on the meaning of true love. He emphasized that one cannot express love without first understanding what true love is. In his words, “Because God is Love, when you tell a person that you love them, you are saying that God is in between you and that person.” He further explained that saying, “I am in love with you,” means, “I am in God with you.” This profound teaching left a lasting impact on students, challenging them to rethink love from a biblical standpoint.

Beyond personal reflection, the message also encouraged everyone to express God’s love to others. Just as God has loved us unconditionally, we too are called to extend that same love to those around us. This call to action perfectly aligned with the theme of the night—Let Love Lead. More than just a slogan, these words serve as a daily reminder for all believers to allow God’s love to guide their actions and relationships.

As the evening drew to a close, the spirit of worship and fellowship lingered among the NU community. The night was not just an event, but a transformative experience that reinforced the importance of love in its purest form.
