Northrise University (NU), Zambia’s premier Christ-centered private university, was honored with the Excellence Award in the Higher Education Sector at the prestigious Ndola and District Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NDCCI) 2025 Awards Gala.
The annual gala, which celebrates institutions and businesses demonstrating outstanding contributions to economic growth, innovation, and community impact in the Copperbelt Province, recognized Northrise University for its consistent delivery of high-quality, relevant academic programs and its unwavering commitment to producing ethically grounded, job-ready graduates. The NDCCI Awards Gala serves as a critical platform to encourage high standards of performance and corporate social responsibility across the region’s economy. Northrise University is honored to be recognized alongside other leading institutions driving progress in the Copperbelt.
The occasion was graced by the Minister of Transport and Logistics and Ndola Central MP, Hon. Frank Tayali, MP.
This Excellence Award is a tremendous affirmation of Northrise University’s mission to deliver world-class, Christ-centered education in Zambia. Northrise University believes in preparing leaders who will drive economic transformation and sustainable development for a better Zambia. This recognition from the NDCCI, the influential voice of our local business community, is a testament to the quality and relevance of our graduates, who are actively contributing to the transformation of our nation.
The award specifically acknowledges the University’s dedication to being “excellent at what is good” (its motto), highlighting its innovative approaches to teaching and learning across its Schools of Business, Law, Information Technology, Engineering, and Nursing. Northrise University’s capacity-building efforts and partnerships with the private sector have made it a key institution in bridging the gap between academia and industry in Ndola and the surrounding districts.
